But......for arguements sakes, the Cobalt is a piece of garbage ricer boy junkie mobile which won because it was the only American car being tested on an American site by American people.

As Simona said, saying the SS is the better car when compared to the Japanese rivals is pure blasphemy.

If you are talking about Road and Track, the Cobalt SS did come out as the overall winner although it was beaten the WRX around the track by .16 seconds.

The cars by the way were the Impreza WRX and the Lancer Ralliart, both cars regarded as the aneamic versions of the EVO and the STi, both having hp around the 260 mark and weighing more than the Cobalt.

That being said, the Cobalts performance was impressive, IF you were going for performance alone in that group.

300hp in a 1990 model. If it does do 13 seconds, that makes it one of the fastest cars around at that time.
